چکیده :
This research introduces an innovative ultra-high step-up (UHSU) DC-DC converter specifically designed for DC microgrid applications. The proposed topology is based on a quadratic structure, achieving exceptional voltage gain by optimizing the turn ratio of the coupled inductor (CI). Key benefits of this design include its ability to deliver ultra-high voltage amplification, reduced diode reverse recovery losses, lower voltage stress on switching components, continuous input current, and a common ground connection between input and output. Furthermore, the converter incorporates soft-switching for certain semiconductor components, significantly improving efficiency while minimizing energy losses. By keeping the voltage stress on switches low, the system enhances overall reliability and performance. A comprehensive analysis of the converter’s operating principles is provided, along with a comparative evaluation against conventional topologies to highlight its advantages. Finally, the proffered design is experimentally validated through the development of a 500-W prototype operating at a switching frequency of 47 kHz, with an input voltage of 24 V and an output voltage of 384 V.
