چکیده :
Activated Carbon (AC) possesses distinctive merits such as a high surface area, porosity, excellent chemical and thermal stability, abundant availability, low cost, lightweight properties, flexibility, and ease of processing. These attributes make AC an attractive candidate for the development of triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs). In this study, we present the fabrication of a TENG incorporating an AC-doped polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) film, referred to as AC@PVA, as the active layer. The AC@PVA film demonstrates enhanced triboelectrification properties. As the opposing triboelectric layer and electrode, Kapton and Al materials are employed, respectively. The AC@PVA-based TENG exhibits an impressive output voltage, current, and power density of 200 V, 14.5 μA, and 7.5 W m-2, respectively. These output performance metrics position the AC@PVA-based TENG among the top reported performances for TENGs utilizing carbon materials. Additionally, the TENG is capable of charging a 10 μF capacitor to 0.87 V within a duration of 8 seconds, demonstrating its potential as a reliable power source for microelectronic devices.
