چکیده :
Due to various benefits of renewable energy-based distributed generation (DG) units, they are highly penetrated in today’s active distribution networks (ADNs). However, these units bring about high loading of lines and transformers as well as voltage rise problems. This issue may challenge distribution network operation, and it usually leads to curtailing some part of available renewable energy. Dynamic transformer rating (DTR) is a smart-grid technology which enables higher loading of transformer considering real-time conditions. However, as the transformer is a critical and costly component, its insulation aging should be considered in high loading periods to prevent its loss of life (LOL). In this paper, an optimal scheduling is proposed aiming at operating cost reduction and minimizing curtailed power of wind turbine and photovoltaic units in ADNs. The proposed problem considers DTR capability of transformers by taking into account the transformers’ LOL. The proposed problem has been formulated as a mixed-integer non-linear programming (MINLP) in GAMS. Through different simulations, effectiveness of the presented model has been validated.
