A 37-Level Switched-Capacitor Boost Inverter With Reduced Blocking Voltage on Semiconductors

چکیده :
This article suggests a 37-level switched-capacitor boost inverter employing 2 DC-sources, 3 capacitors and 15switches to provide boosting factor of 3.6, where the S5 is bidirectional, and all others are unidirectional. The bipolar output-voltage waveform is attained without an H-bridge. So, none of switches/diodes tolerate the Maximum Output-Voltage (MOV). The reduced devices per levels, capability of feeding low or medium power-factor loads and self-balancing of capacitors are other key features of suggested converter. It can also provide low Total Blocking Voltage (TBV) on semiconductors. The theoretical, comparative and simulation analysis approve the proper performance of suggested converter.
