Low-Loss Optical Decoder for Surace Plasmon Polariton Transmission

چکیده :
Designing plasmonic circuits to reduce energy and size is one of the most important research fields in the use of optical circuits. In this research, a plasmonic channel is designed by using a graphene layer on silicon dioxide, which can confine surface plasmons near graphene. The transmission coefficient of the channel can be controlled by adjusting the chemical potential of graphene. Based on this, a 1-to-2 decoder is designed, whose real and imaginary part of the channel is 77.25 and 0.0963, respectively. The coupling length and figure of merit are several tens of micrometers and 802.18, respectively. One of the outstanding features of this device is the contrast ratio of 38.71 dB, which is suitable for connecting to other circuits. The area of the proposed diode is 1.12 µm2 which seems to be a suitable option for integrating optical circuits.
