Optimizing energy of carbon dioxide absorption in distilled water using ultrasonic system through response surface methodology

چکیده :
Global warming and climate change have become a global problem due to the increase in the concentration of CO2 gas in the atmosphere caused by the combustion of fossil fuels. Absorption is considered as one of the most efficient and suitable methods to remove CO2 from the atmosphere, but they require stirring, long contact time and a suitable and economical contact system. High frequency ultrasonication is a method by which it is possible to increase the speed of mass transfer from gas to liquid and reduce the absorption time by vigorously stirring and creating fine liquid particles. The results of Response Surface Methodology optimization in this research for pressure, voltage, gas and liquid flow rate parameters for high absorption rate of carbon dioxide in distilled water were found to be 12.344 (bar), 27.185 (v), 19.823 and 0.407 (SLPM) respectively. Also, it has been observed that the maximum mass transfer coefficient can be found by increasing the liquid/gas flow rate and voltage and then decreasing the pressure.
