چکیده :
The worldwide interest in advancing renewable energy sources (RES) for producing electricity has reached a new peak, with solar and wind energy leading the charge in research and deployment. These renewable resources are increasingly being connected to electrical power grids at a large scale, which can significantly affect the operation and reliability of these networks. Such large-scale integration, while beneficial for sustainability, carries the risk of destabilizing the power system, which could lead to unexpected and detrimental effects. In response to this issue, the paper presents detailed modeling approaches for two key types of renewable energy systems: Photovoltaic (PV) systems that convert sunlight into electricity, and Wind Energy Conversion Systems that use Doubly Fed Induction Generators (DFIG) for harnessing wind power. These models are crucial for conducting dynamic stability analysis, which helps in understanding how these renewable systems behave under various conditions and how they interact with the power grid. Furthermore, the paper delves into an array of stability-related problems that have been observed when wind and solar energies are incorporated into the electricity generation mix in substantial quantities. It draws on existing research to present a comprehensive evaluation of these issues. Additionally, the paper reviews a variety of tactics and solutions that have been proposed and tested to mitigate the negative impacts on power system stability. These solutions are critical for ensuring that the integration of renewable energy into power systems is not only environmentally friendly but also reliable and secure for future energy demands.
