Design of a Solar Farm in the Siahpoosh Region of Qazvin Integrated With a Hydropower Plant for Energy Storage

چکیده :
This study explores the development and assesses the feasibility of an integrated solar-hydro power plant utilizing a pump-as-turbine (PAT) system in the hydropower configuration. The project focuses on meeting the energy demands of the Tarom Sofla Region by combining solar and hydropower resources in the Siahpoosh Region. Based on projected energy requirements for the following years, the optimal number of solar panels is estimated to fulfill the anticipated consumption. These projections guided the design of the solar farm and the calculation of the necessary reservoir capacity for the hydropower component using hourly production-demand analyses. A comparison between simulation results and real-world data from the operational solar farm confirms the accuracy and validity of the proposed approach. This research highlights the robustness of the methodology and its potential to address future energy challenges effectively.
