Optimal Energy Management of a Hydrogen-based Energy Hub Considering Flexible rSOC

چکیده :
Nowadays there is a growing trend in the operation and management of energy systems to integrate different energy carriers and conversion technologies into an interconnected network called Energy Hub. This integration brings several benefits, such as flexibility and reliability. Reversible solid oxide cells (r-SOCs) are promising technologies that offer numerous advantages to Energy Hubs due to their higher power ratios and adaptable operation. This paper investigates the optimal management of an Energy Hub consisting of renewable energy technologies, a r-SOC, and a hydrogen storage tank, considering the flexible thermal operation of the r-SOC and its performance under different loads and temperatures. The simulation results demonstrate the model's effectiveness in the flexible daily management of an Energy Hub, with the results illustrating a 12.1% reduction in overall costs and a 6.3% decrease in electricity imports compared to the baseline scenario.
