On the Accuarcy of Linear DistFlow Method: A Comparison Survey

چکیده :
This paper compares DistFlow method with its linearized form in the load flow analysis of distribution systems. Since power flow equations in DistFlow model are nonlinear, the linear DistFlow has gained a considerable attention in the recent years. The simulation results demonstrate that the two methods generally converge to two different solutions which may represent unrelated characteristics. Also, simulation results confirm that the correctness of linearized DistFlow method is evidently questionable since it may provide solution where Distflow reports infeasible model. Meanwhile, it demonstrates that increasing number of linearization segments does not improve the infeasibility detection of linearized DistFlow.
