Quadratic Boost DC-DC Converter with Reliability Analysis Suitable for Renewable Energy Applications

چکیده :
This paper proposes a modified configuration for a DC-DC converter that utilizes a Voltage Multiplier Cell (VMC) to enhance the voltage-boosting capability. The proposed configuration is common-grounded, which tackles the leakage current at solar applications. Furthermore, the low blocking voltage across switching devices is another benefit that helps to reduce the switching losses and improve the converter's efficiency. The proposed converter also has a non-pulsating source current, which is a crucial feature for Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) of PV panels. The advantages of proposed configuration over comparable designs have been systematically validated through extensive comparative analysis. The simulation analysis has also been meticulously conducted to confirm and ensure its optimal performance. Furthermore, the effect of changes in operational and design parameters on the reliability of proposed topology has been investigated in detail.
