Smart Energy Management: Enhancing Resilience in Integrated Power Systems with Renewable Energy, Hydrogen Storage, and Risk-Averse Operations

چکیده :
The utilization of wind generation units (WG) for harnessing renewable energy sources is motivated by their eco-friendly characteristics and the diminishing accessibility of traditional energy resources. Furthermore, hydrogen storage systems (HSS) have been implemented as solutions for energy storage systems (ESS) to mitigate the intermittent nature of renewable energy sources. This has brought about the notions of electrical-power-to-hydrogen (EPTH) and hydrogen-to-electrical-power (HTEP). Our investigation utilizes a scenario-based stochastic methodology to model the stochastic operation of hydrogen storage systems (HSS) with a risk-averse approach, wind unit and electric vehicle parking lot (EVPL), while considering load-responsive scheduling dependent on the retail rate of electric energy. To account for uncertainties and achieve risk-averse utilization of HSS, WG, and EVPL, we incorporate underlying Restrictions on adverse risk scenarios (ROARS). Comparing the risk-averse strategy to the risk-neutral strategy, our results show a reduction in financial risk (FR) and an increase in anticipated operational expenses (AOE) when implementing ROARS.
