Multi-objective optimization of energy consumption pattern in order to provide thermal comfort and reduce costs in a residential building

چکیده :
In this research, three objective functions of energy consumption, thermal comfort, and net present value function for a residential building have been optimized simultaneously. To perform multi-objective optimization operations, a Couple of Energy Plus software and a genetic algorithm of non-dominant sorting written in MATLAB environment are used. Also, due to the special conditions of energy pricing in Iran and the allocation of large subsidies, in order to increase the chances of success of energy retrofit solutions, the inflation rate and energy discount rate will increase compared to the current conditions. The results of the optimization process show that if the price of energy increases and brings it closer to global prices, we can hope for the attractiveness of energy retrofit solutions for the owners and investors of the construction industry. So the highest profit from optimization measures was reported as 83177 US dollars. Also, the minimum energy consumption was reported as 27534 kWh and the best value of thermal comfort was 11.08%. Condensing boiler systems and split systems with inverter were also the most popular systems among Pareto solutions.
